The Wawa Foundation Support Expands Access to Healthy Food for Students Across the Treasure Coast

FORT PIERCE, Fla. – December 29, 2025 — Treasure Coast Food Bank is grateful for the generous support of $10,000 provided by The Wawa Foundation, which is helping ensure students across the Treasure Coast have access to nutritious meals. This support reflects a shared commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities.
The Wawa Foundation, a longtime partner of Treasure Coast Food Bank, has played a vital role in expanding access to healthy meals for children and families facing food insecurity. The Foundation’s most recent support comes through Wawa’s Fly Beyond Key Issues initiative, which will support Treasure Coast Food Bank’s School Markets Produce Distributions throughout the 2025–2026 school year.
“The Wawa Foundation’s generosity is making a significant impact, helping us bring fresh, healthy produce to children and families along the Treasure Coast,” said Judith Cruz, President and CEO of Treasure Coast Food Bank. “Their support allows us to advance our mission to improve health and reduce food insecurity for students and their families.”
This year, the need is even greater. Treasure Coast Food Bank has seen a sharp increase in demand for services as more families struggle with rising costs of living and economic challenges. Contributions like this help make it possible to meet those growing needs and ensure that no family has to worry where their next meal will come from.
Wawa’s support demonstrates the impact that community-focused philanthropy can have in creating lasting change. Together, Treasure Coast Food Bank and Wawa Foundation are making a meaningful difference in the lives of families throughout the Treasure Coast.
