Sen. Rick Scott Recognizes Jewish American Heritage Month
|
Dear Fellow Floridian,
Throughout the month of May, we celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to recognize the incredible contributions of Jewish Americans. Last week, I spoke on the Senate floor honoring Jewish American Heritage Month with the unanimous passage of my bipartisan resolution in recognition of this month and condemning the horrific antisemitic attack in Washington, D.C. With the unanimous passage of this resolution, we reaffirmed our nation’s commitment to standing with our Jewish community and our ally, Israel.
As threats to Jewish Americans and Israel continue to rise, I am committed to calling out antisemitism at every turn and working together with you, as well as local, state and federal leaders to ensure every Floridian feels safe, secure and empowered to live freely and pursue the American Dream. Disgusting attacks like the one in our nation’s capital is sickening and unacceptable. I continue to pray for the victims and their loved ones, and stand with Israel and our Jewish community against this hate.
As your United States Senator, I am proud to represent Jewish communities across the state as we recognize Jewish American Heritage Month. I will never stop fighting to protect and support our great ally, Israel, and Jewish families in Florida and across the nation.
