WEEK IN REVIEW: ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL WEEK

It was a big beautiful week in Washington. I voted to advance historic tax cuts, stood with President Trump to honor our fallen Palm Beach County deputies, and welcomed Secretary Marco Rubio to Congress for a hearing about ways to refocus and advance diplomacy via the State Department.
We reached a huge milestone this week with H.R. 1, or the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passing in the House of Representatives. I was proud to vote in support of this historic legislation which stopped the biggest tax hike on the American people while cutting out waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government. Republicans in Congress are delivering the President’s top priorities for Americans: no tax on tips, slashing taxes on Social Security, and delivering a strong southern border. Now it’s off to the Senate where I hope to see it passed quickly.
Also this week, I had the privilege to join President Trump in the Oval Office to honor fallen deputies from Palm Beach County and their families by awarding them a Medal of Sacrifice. You can read about my bill which creates this new medal, the Medal of Sacrifice Act, here.
Lastly, as we head into Memorial Day weekend, I am reminded of all the men and women who signed up to serve our country but returned home in flag-draped caskets. During this long weekend, before the BBQs or parties, I ask that you take a moment and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
