| Dear Fellow Floridian, Florida’s agriculture industry isn’t just a critical part of our state’s economy; it’s an essential part of our way of life. We have our farmers, growers, ranchers, and producers to thank for putting food on our tables to providing families across our great state with a good-paying job and the opportunity to live their American Dream. As your U.S. Senator, I was grateful to sit down with members of our agricultural community in Clewiston this week to thank them for all that they do, hear more about what they’re facing, and see how I can continue fighting for them and for Florida.  It’s no secret that our agricultural community faced storms and freezes over the years that have put them all in a tough spot. I’ve been fighting every day to get them the help they need, and thanks to President Trump, our farmers, growers, and producers are getting the help they deserve. Rick Scott Joins Community Leaders for a Roundtable on the Future of Agriculture in the Sunshine State Senator Rick Scott joined a roundtable with community leaders to discuss Florida’s agricultural community and the critical role the industry plays in the state’s economy and way of life. Senator Rick Scott said, “Florida’s agriculture industry is the backbone of our state’s economy, creating good-paying jobs and opportunities for families to live their American Dream. More than that, agriculture makes our way of life possible. We can’t eat without the hard work and resilience of the people who grow and raise our food. "It’s no secret that our agriculture community faced storms and freezes over the years that have put them all in a tough spot, and that the previous administration was a disaster for farmers. It’s in times like these that the federal government should show up and partner with state, local, and community leaders to aid in rebuilding and recovery.
