Dear Fellow Floridian,
If you feel like everywhere you look, the cost of living is up, you're not alone. Thanks to years of Democrats' waste, fraud, and abuse of your hard-earned tax dollars, inflation soared, and prices skyrocketed.

We know that massive government spending fuels inflation. It's a fact. That's why I've been working to stop Washington's wasteful spending for YEARS, and leading the fight in the Senate to end Democrats' earmarks to fund their political pet projects. Yesterday, I again stood on the Senate floor demanding Congress strip the reckless earmarks out of this spending package and do what we were elected to – put AMERICANS FIRST.

Unfortunately, too many in Washington are happy to keep the status quo of wasteful spending and blocked our efforts. But that won't stop me from fighting. Republicans must end Washington's wasteful spending, clean up this Democrat-fueled mess, and balance the budget, just like we did when I was Governor of Florida. That's how we can deliver for Florida families and make Washington work for you.

Watch my full speech HERE.
Sincerely,

Sen. Rick Scott Launches ‘American Dream at Work’ Series Spotlighting Florida Job Growers
Senator Rick Scott released the trailer for his new ‘American Dream at Work’ series, which highlights the stories of Florida entrepreneurs, their businesses, and the incredible work they’re doing to grow jobs and contribute to their communities. Senator Scott lived his American Dream - from growing up in public housing, to owning businesses, becoming Governor of Florida, and U.S. Senator, he continues working tirelessly to ensure every American has the same opportunity to live their American Dream.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Growing up, my mom always told us how blessed we were to live in the greatest country in the world, where anybody willing to work hard could achieve their American Dream. She was right – I worked hard, opened my first business, and turned my entire life around to live my dreams. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy for someone growing up like I did to get ahead today. The failures of Washington politicians have created disastrous consequences for our country. Today, even our brightest minds and hardest workers are facing bigger barriers to success due to burdensome regulations and higher living costs. My new ‘American Dream at Work’ series spotlights the incredible entrepreneurs in our state who show that the American Dream is still alive and worth fighting for. I won’t stop fighting to Make Washington Work – which means shrinking government, cutting spending, cutting taxes, and supporting small businesses – to help families succeed, businesses grow and create jobs, and ensure every American can achieve their American Dream.”

Sen. Rick Scott Announces CLEAR LABELS Act to Hold Drug Manufacturers Accountable and Strengthen Supply Chain Oversight
Senator Rick Scott announced the Consumer Labeling for Enhanced API Reporting and Legitimate Accountability for Base Entity Listings (CLEAR LABELS) Act to add country of origin labeling requirements to the U.S.’s prescription drug supply chain. Many prescription drugs, and their active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), are manufactured overseas, particularly in Communist China and India, and current federal labeling requirements do not require public disclosure of where those ingredients or finished products are made. As a result, patients, pharmacists, and health care providers often lack visibility into where their medicines are made. The CLEAR LABELS Act would require prescription drug labeling to disclose the original manufacturers of generic drugs and APIs, giving patients, providers, and regulators clear, upfront information about a drug’s origins.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Families want to feel safe; they want to know the drugs they take are safe, and they want to support American companies and American jobs. It is alarming just how many medicines Americans depend on are made overseas, in places like Communist China and India with limited transparency and oversight, leaving patients blindsided about where their drugs come from and unknowingly putting themselves at increased risk of death. My CLEAR LABELS Act takes a commonsense approach to fix that by requiring clear disclosure of the original manufacturers of these drugs and their components, known as APIs. Transparency is critical to protecting patient safety, strengthening oversight, and reducing America’s overreliance on foreign drug production. Americans deserve to have confidence that the medicines they take are safe, regulated, and clearly labeled.”

Sen. Rick Scott in The Hill: Americans are Relying on Adversaries Like Communist China for Everyday Medications
Senator Rick Scott announced his Consumer Labeling for Enhanced API Reporting and Legitimate Accountability for Base Entity Listings (CLEAR LABELS) Act during a U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging hearing. This announcement follows a bipartisan investigative report he led as chairman of the Aging Committee to expose vulnerabilities in the generic drug supply chain and strengthen accountability. This legislation ensures logical steps to provide transparency and information to Americans on where the drugs they consume every day are produced, and the risks associated with drugs produced outside of the United States. This comes as the senator continues to hold hearings, seek information, and explore solutions to ensure American’s access to safe, high-quality medicines and address the risks of the United States’ overdependence on generic drugs made in Communist China and India.
