Stuart, FL – The Martin County School District (MCSD) and the Martin County Education Association (MCEA) have reached a tentative salary agreement for the 2025-2026 school year. Finalized during just the second bargaining session focused on compensation, the agreement—pending ratification by MCEA members and approval by the Martin County School Board—would establish MCSD as the highest-paying district on the Treasure Coast for teachers, regardless of years of experience.
The proposed package will be presented to the School Board for approval at its Special Meeting on October 7, 2025. Following Board approval, MCEA members will vote on ratification.
Key components of the tentative salary package include:
- Performance pay incentives:
- Annual Contract: Highly Effective – $400 | Effective – $260
- Professional Services Contract: Highly Effective – $260 | Effective – $130
- $334,390 allocated for Pay for Performance
- $352,034 designated for competitive salary adjustments and across-the-board increases
In total, $998,746.64 will be utilized to support salary increases and performance-based compensation.
