Martin Chamber Foundation named Bank of America’s
Neighborhood Builder Grant Recipient for 2025
STUART — The Martin Chamber Foundation is Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builder for 2025, bank officials announced Wednesday at their annual Community Needs Assessment Roundtable.
The award, announced during a surprise celebration with community partners and nonprofit agency representatives throughout the Treasure Coast, comes with a $50,000 grant and a mentorship program to enhance the agency’s future capacity.
“We’re honored to have a partner like Bank of America with its corporate philanthropy mission that overlaps so well with our workforce development initiative,” said Angela Hoffman, the executive director of the nonprofit Martin Chamber Foundation. “They’ve made a difference by expanding financial literacy and educational efforts, and this underscores our work preparing and connecting motivated employees with local businesses.”
The grant will support the agency’s CareerConnect Martin program, which helps Martin County residents overcome obstacles to good paying, fulfilling careers. The free program includes help with resumes and applications, job interview skills, and hard skills necessary to qualify for open positions in participating businesses.
Neighborhood Builder grant recipients also receive mentoring support for emerging leaders. Martin Chamber Foundation has chosen Gina Masters, the Workforce Development Coordinator, for her professionalism, care, and dedication to improving the lives of her clients. She will work closely with a mentor from Bank of America during the two years of the grant.
As part of the grant application, Martin Chamber Foundation also created a three-year capacity building plan. In these years, they plan to work to expand their efforts to serve more clients and collaborate with more nonprofit, for-profit, and government partners.
“Our mission is to support economic prosperity for all Martin County residents by strengthening and growing workforce development, education, and entrepreneurship,” Hoffman said. “When we work together, with Bank of America and all our partners, we can make a greater difference for the benefit of all.”
