Dear Friends,


As July comes to a close, so does another month of intense summer heat and strong community engagement. After a busy legislative session earlier this year, it’s been a priority to get back out and hear directly from the people, attending events, visiting local organizations, and continuing conversations about the policies impacting our communities.


From insurance and border safety to combating human trafficking, these discussions have been invaluable. They help ensure that the work done in the legislature is not only informed by real‑world needs but remains accountable to the people it’s meant to serve.


I'm also excited to share that I have officially filed to run for the Florida Senate seat in District 31, aiming to succeed Senator Gayle Harrell, who is term‑limited in 2028. Senate District 31 includes all of Martin County and parts of northern and western Palm Beach County, as well as southern St. Lucie County.


Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share thoughts, ask questions, or simply show up — your input drives this work forward. As we head into the final stretch of summer, the focus remains on staying connected and continuing the momentum.

I’m truly honored to have received an “A” on my legislative scorecard from the Florida Chamber following this year’s session, as well as the 2025 Distinguished Advocate Award. This recognition reflects my continued commitment to fostering a strong business climate, supporting economic growth, and championing policies that move Florida forward. I’m grateful to the Florida Chamber for their partnership and for their tireless advocacy on behalf of our state's job creators and families.
The Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) recognized me with the 2025 Champions of Housing Award for my work in passing key legislation that supports the homebuilding industry and addresses Florida’s growing housing needs.


The award was presented at the Good Government Luncheon during the Southeastern Builders Conference (SEBC), a dynamic event that brings together industry leaders, elected officials, and advocates committed to strengthening housing policy across our state.


It was a pleasure to join so many professionals working to create more attainable, sustainable housing for Floridians. I’m grateful to FHBA for this recognition and to Congressman Byron Donalds for sharing his insight as the keynote speaker.
I was invited to be a guest on Top of Mind Florida. We had an incredible conversation about what is happening in our state and what the future looks like.

I was also invited to join Florida’s Voice Radio to talk more about my race. It was a great opportunity to share more about why I’m running for the seat.
Indian Town hosted Governor DeSantis this past month and was awarded funds towards water quality infrastructure. Through the state's strategic investments, Florida has helped this region open up to more affordable housing options for workers and families.
I attended ICAST in Orlando and met an absolute legend of a captain and one of the absolute best fishing guides on the east coast of Florida for more than 50 years. Although Captain Bouncer Smith is now retired, his guests have over 70 world records and have accepted major awards from the IGFA, The Billfish Foundation, and more. Now this is a man I can learn from!
My team had the pleasure of attending the Treasure Coast Regional League of Cities' annual BBQ in Okeechobee. It was a great opportunity to connect and collaborate with others from our incredible communities while enjoying some delicious food.
I had the opportunity to attend the 39th Annual Environmental Permitting School in Marco Island, and it did not disappoint.


One of the highlights was an outstanding panel featuring four former FDEP secretaries along with the current secretary.
I’m proud to share that my incredibly talented legislative aide, Samantha Rosenberg, has accepted a new position with the Republican Party of Florida and has relocated to Tallahassee.


Samantha has been an exceptional part of our team — sharp, intuitive, and a natural leader. Her ability to navigate complex issues, think strategically, and lead with confidence has made a lasting impact on our work and everyone around her. Her professionalism and dedication set a high standard, and her contributions have been truly invaluable.
While she will certainly be missed, we’re thrilled to see her take this exciting next step in her career. Please join me in congratulating Samantha and wishing her continued success — we know this is only the beginning of all she will accomplish.

Last month, our community was shaken to discover that a predator was hiding in plain sight. A Fort Pierce City Commissioner was arrested in a disturbing child exploitation case. From the beginning, I called for his immediate removal from public office. Leadership is a sacred trust, and anyone who violates that trust, especially in a way that harms children, has no place in it.


I’m grateful our Governor acted swiftly to remove him from his role.


This heartbreaking case is exactly why I helped author HB 3 to strengthen protections for our children and hold online predators accountable, no matter who they are or what position they hold.


Who would have thought the danger would come from our own backyard?


My sincerest prayers are with his wife, his family, and any other potential victims. No child or community should have to endure this.
Constituent Spotlight: Helping a Family in Crisis
Months ago, our office was contacted by a local mother who was facing an unimaginable challenge. Her young son had been diagnosed with a rare disability, and while she was doing everything she could to care for him, the family was struggling financially to get the specialized support he desperately needed.


The system can be overwhelming, especially when families are already under stress. That’s where our office stepped in. We worked closely with the family over several months, coordinating with the appropriate state and local agencies to make sure no stone was left unturned. Through persistent advocacy and collaboration, we were able to help secure an emergency crisis waiver, unlocking access to vital services the family had previously been unable to reach.


While the process wasn’t quick or easy, the outcome made every step worthwhile. Stories like this are a reminder of why community-centered public service matters. The state of Florida should be responsive, compassionate, and proactive, and we’re proud to have helped this family find a path forward in their time of need. We will continue to assist the family in this journey, making sure all needs are met.
